From Cochin Prince Borsselen P 1770: Register of the daily notes and transacted affairs between the Right Honorable Gentleman Christiaan Lodewijk Senff, outgoing Governor and Director, and the Honorable Gentleman Adriaan Moens, incoming Commander and Supreme Ruler of this coast, with the Kings, Princes, and other Rulers of Malabar, kept beginning on the 2nd of October anno 1770 and ending on the 27th of September 1774. To Adi Raja the 8th November: letter written by Adi Raja, requesting therein to have some linchpins made, and for his service some cannon, cannonballs, gunpowder, jacks, and mortars. folio 101: the 16th: letter to this ruler containing the gratitude of Their High Mightinesses for the sent wild pepper, furthermore communication of the safe delivery of the Right Honorable Gentleman Governor, with a request to conclude the affairs promptly. the 21st December: folio 119 the 25th November: letter from the same in which he states having been inclined to go to Cochin, but was hindered therein by indisposition; Which the Honorable Right Venerable promised to do as soon as he had spoken with Cartamana, who had also appeared here, and had also heard his defense.
