While in the previous annual balance accounts it has been noted yearly that this estimate of profits was taken much too high and could never be fulfilled even in the best of times, the undersigned will conduct himself very humbly in this regard and merely note that the profits of this financial year are substantially equal to those obtained here in the five years preceding the war. For whereas during that epoch an annual profit was made of ƒ436495:9:—. The profits of this financial year amount to ƒ403100:6:8. And thus only an unfavorable difference of ƒ33395:2:8.
