Hugli in the Fort To the Office of Bengal on account of what was received from the poor relief overseers Abraham Roghe and Francois Lamij, for as much as according to their report upon opening the poor box above is on account of what was collected on Sundays and Feast Days, weddings and infant baptisms, as well as at the annual house-to-house collection. Of which, pursuant to the respected dispatch from Their Right Nobilities dated 20 July 1762, one half is granted in favor of the poor in Batavia and the other half for the maintenance of the cemetery here. Due to the poor, the sum of f599. 10. — Item, counted out by the Skipper Jan Moorland for a draft on Batavia in order, with the pleasure of Their Right Nobilities, to be repaid value for value or money for money, with 31500: —:— For what was also received from the aforementioned poor relief overseers on account of what was collected from the following persons, for as much as according to the extract of the testament was bequeathed to the reformed deaconry poor of the following places, being: From the Equipment Master Zuijdland and the Citizen Lucas Jongeneef as executors in the estate of the deceased Citizen Christoffel Wijdermans for the poor in Batavia, to be received per 25 Arcot, or f:r r:o 25. 12. 63.
