While it was further necessary to resolve to suspend him from his functions, and to summon him hither, as well as to charge the military Captain van Balen in the meantime with the execution of the measures to be devised against the Bushmen Hottentots. folio 1623. The latter will therefore be provided not only with the usual orders and commissions, but also by open letters with the required authorization and power, in case of necessity, to place the oft-mentioned Woeke under arrest and thus send him hither. folio 1624. Upon the notification given to the Lords Commissioners General by the Lord Governor of the resolution dated 16 June last taken by this Council concerning the matter between Prieter and Breda, inspection of all related papers having been demanded by the same. folio 1625. From which dispositions it has appeared that Their High Mightinesses have been pleased to reject the requests of the first petitioner, folio 2575 But regarding those of Captain Lieutenant van Hugel concerning the depot under his command of Wurtemberg, to establish the arrangements noted alongside. While in so far as concerns the aforementioned Von Hugel, an extract from this resolution will be handed to him to serve for his information.
